About the Role:
We have an exciting role available for a Head of E-Commerce to join the Distributed Brands team on a 12 month parental leave contract, based in Cremorne VIC. Reporting to the Divisional CEO you will drive strategy and lead the management & maintenance of Skechers, Dr. Martens & CAT websites across AU & NZ, along with our CRM & Loyalty programs. Working collaboratively across the business you will play an active role in the strategic map, whilst providing a superior e-commerce & customer experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of E-Commerce & CRM team, overseeing performance and delivery to ensure financial targets and profit budgets are met.
  • Development & delivery of E-Commerce, CRM & Loyalty Strategy together with the leadership team, ensuring it is aligned the business objectives, leveraging industry best practices and innovative technologies to drive online sales, market share & customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to proactively identify tactical opportunities to drive trade & sales uplift and develop strategic plans to increase traffic & convert online sales by channel.
  • Preparation and presentation of budgets, forecasts and trade estimates.
  • Management of e-commerce sales reporting & analysis, providing actionable insights.
  • Monitor industry and online shopping trends, maintaining knowledge of competition and awareness of ecommerce opportunities.
  • Working with E-Commerce Managers to develop and execute the trading calendar.
  • Develop & drive strategic merchandising strategy onsite.
  • Ownership of CRM & Loyalty Programs, ensuring growth, consumer acquisition, and ongoing engagement & profitability.
  • Management of Email Marketing strategies together with Marketing & Central CRM teams, including content, personalization & segmentation strategy, re-engagement plans and driving the acquisition of new sign ups.
  • Partnering with external Agency to develop and execute a comprehensive CRO plan to improve customer experience and site usability to drive conversion increase.
  • Working in partnership with the Performance Marketing team to drive continued growth and profitability through paid channels and execute customer acquisition and retention marketing campaigns through SEO, social media, CRM, online advertising.
  • Working collaboratively with Buying & Planning teams on strategies that optimise online product assortments in key trading periods and promotional events.
  • Actively apply customer insights and business performance data to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Lead website updates and initiatives to constantly improve the customer journey and tactics to increase conversion, reduce bounce rate and cart abandonment.
  • Collaborate with Digital Delivery team to optimize & implement new developments, managing UAT & QA to ensure requirements are met.


To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience in a Head of E-Commerce or Senior E-Commerce Trade Manager role.
  • Ability to inspire, lead and empower teams to deliver.
  • Drive to continually innovate, think strategically, be hands-on and orchestrate team members.
  • Ability to apply a customer centric approach to all work.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven mindset, with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Google or Abode Analytics experience (or similar).
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
